Description

In light of the expansion of excavations at Tel Miqné-‘Eqron and Ashqelon since the publication of Ashdod V and the initiation of new excavations at Tell es-Safi/Gath, the Ashdod material to be presented here—from the first Philistine city modernly excavated—has attained special significance. We now have access to archaeological data from four of the five Philistine pentapolis sites, while the preparation of a report on the nearby site of Tel Mor is in progress.
